A Gutsy Display

7th Oct 2019

Town's Reserves put in a gutsy performance on Saturday to earn a point from Stevenage Borough Community.

A Charlie Humphreys goal saw Town go into the half-time break ahead having played their part in a very entertaining match.

Excellent teamwork and a great performance from Bobby White in goal saw the side come close to its first win of the season, only to be denied the win when the opposition scored directly from a corner in the 87th minute.

The club's Veterans continued their good form, beating Whitewebbs Vets 5-1; Nathan Searle was again on the scoresheet, along with Ronnie Dixon and Ross Murphy who bagged a brace apiece.

The club's First Team put in an under-par performance, going down 3-0 at lowly Bovingdon, a disappointing result when compared to last week's excellent showing.

Town's Ladies lost 13-0 at league leaders Herts Vipers in a match which was ruined by some poor behaviour both on and off the pitch.
