Improved Performances

30th Jan 2019
Despite 2 defeats, Town's Firsts and Reserves both put in improved performances over the weekend.
The First Team gave second place Cockfosters Reserves a run for their money, holding them 1-1 until tragically allowing them to score the winner less than two minutes from time.
Down 2-0 at half time to league leaders Welham Albion Blues, the Reserves arguably put in their best showing of the season during the second half, putting pressure on the opposition and scoring with 15 minutes to go.
Welham were shaky and Town were unlucky not to draw level when Sid Arnold's free-kick rattled against the woodwork.
The opposition scored their final 2 goals, one of which was a penalty, during the last 5 minutes of the game as Town pressed forward.
The great recent form shown by the Vets continued as they ran out as comfortable 5-0 winners against Golding Vets, with Ronnie Dixon scoring a hat-trick.
