Reserves Go Top

6th Dec 2015
Town's Reserves moved to the top of the league table yesterday following a well-earned 1-0 win over Letchworth Garden City Eagles Reserves.
With Cuffley Reserves not in league action the match was an ideal opportunity to take advantage, and a Jonni Wedge goal, his 9th of the season, secured the victory and top place.
James Neill also scored his 9th goal of the season today as Town's Veterans secured a comfortable 5-2 win over Goldings Vets.
This was the Vet's second league victory in what has become a rather tough season, but the side is now beginning to get the goals and results are now going our way.
It was lack of goals yesterday which saw the First Team lose to a strong Bushey Sports Club in difficult conditions at The Bury.
Buntingford failed to take advantage of the following wind during the first half which remained goalless.
Town were the first to score, with just 15 minutes remaining, but Bushey grabbed an equaliser almost immediately afterwards, and sealed a 2-1 win just a minute from the final whistle.
A disappointing day for Town's first string, particularly as the side had put in a real shift during the match and were surely worthy of a point.
