Reserves reach the Final

20th Apr 2015
Buntingford's second string put in a terrific performance on Saturday afternoon, beating Bushey Sports Club Reserves 2-1 after extra time to secure a place in the final of the Cecil Hudson Cup.
Town were under the hammer for the first 30 minutes of the match, and went 1-0 down early on.
A much better second half saw Buntingford put a lot of pressure on their visitors, but it took until the 92nd minute of the match for Joni Wedge to equalise.
Town then took the lead during the first period of extra time thanks to a wonderful 30-yard strike from Jack Caine which left the keeper with no chance - a goal of the season contender if ever there was one.
Bushey tried their best to get a goal back but Buntingford defended stoutly until the final whistle.
Town will face Bovingdon Reserves in the final, who beat Evergreen Reserves 4-1 during their tie.
