Victory In The Rain.

24th Nov 2012
It looked set to be a grim weekend as the bad weather did its best to put paid to any football being played.
With The Bury pitch still waterlogged last night following Thursday's rain, and with one eye on today's weather, the Reserve home fixture was postponed.
This morning Old Minchendonians phoned to cancel tomorrow's Vets fixture; it seemed to be only a matter of time before the First Team's visit to Croxley Guild would be called off as well.
In fact, today, just 6 of the 20 games scheduled for County League sides were played - but ours was one of them!
The long trip was worthwhile though as Town, 3-0 up at half-time, ran out as 5-0 winners with goals from Ross Smith, Louis Gilbert, Alex West, Mike Holland and Will Cubitt, who scored his first for the club.
The win maintains our 5th position in the league table, just 3 points in front of Guild themselves, and 3 behind Hertford Heath.
