Town's first string lost their Herts FA Senior Challenge Cup match on Saturday, but went out with heads held high.
Despite the absence of some key players, and going into the half time break 3-0 down, the team put in a determined performance to hit back at visitors, and cup holders, London Lions; the commitment shown was exactly what the side needs.
The match was eventually lost 6-3, but not without giving the opposition a run for their money!
The Reserves put in a performance which manager Laurence Salmon described as 'one of the best of the season' against league leaders Letchworth Graden City Eagles, and, although his team lost 3-1 we are looking forward to next weekend's rematch in the Herts FA Intermediate Cup.
Buntingford's Vets were the only side to win at the weekend, beating Old Minchendonians 3-2, with goals from James Neill, Mark Ward and manager Nick Savage who scored his first of the season.
The Vets face another tough fixture this weekend, at home to their Bengeo Trinty counterparts.
