Aubrey Cup progress.
18th Oct 2010
Four goals from Michael Holland helped see the First Team through to the third round of this season's Aubrey Cup on Saturday.
Town suffered a shock, conceding an early goal at Kimpton Rovers, but a good all-round performance saw the side run out as comfortable 6-1 winners, progressing to the next round of the competition - a home fixture to either AFC Hertford or St Peters.
In their Chairman's Cup match the Reserves put in a gutsy performance against Division One's Cuffley Reserves, eventually losing 4-2; however the signs that we can live at a higher level were there, so plenty of optimism about the team's potential for the future remains.
The Vets suffered a 2-1 defeat at Enfield Vets on Sunday and will need to pick themselves up again for the Herts FA Veterans Cup tie this Sunday where they will be playing Mangrove Ultras at The Bury.
