200 up!
26th Apr 2010
A plethora of goals over the weekend saw the number of goals scored by the club's 3 teams hit 200 for the season.
Midfielder Wes Pullen bagged four on Saturday as Town beat third-place Belstone in a 5-2 thriller at The Bury.
An excellent second half performance saw Buntingford grind down the Belstone defence, putting a dent into the opposition's promotion hunt.
The Reserves beat Old Parmiterians for the second time this season by the narrowest of margins, the 1-0 victory being secured by a fine penalty save from young goalkeeper Tim Rice.
On Sunday the Vets led 4-1 at home, only to be pegged back to 4-4 with just a couple of minutes remaining.
Fortunately a diving header from Sean Heather just seconds from the final whistle saw Town come away victorious with a rare victory over Tolmers.
And, to cap a great weekend for the club, congratulations to Pete Ware who completed the London Marathon in just over 5 hours.
