Digging in.
18th Feb 2008
Although the both senior squads lost last weekend, the First Team 3-1 to Evergreen, and the Reserves 4-0 at Standon & Puckeridge, it is not all doom and gloom.
The club is still rebuilding following the major upheavals inflicted upon it during 2007 and credit must be given to management and players alike for digging in and giving us hope for the future.
Despite recent results we mustn't forget that we are in the competitive top divisions in the league, and with the determination shown during the last few months should surely still be there at the end of the season - we are still stronger than when we re-joined the Herts County League in 2002.
The Vets had a happier weekend though, recording a 1-1 draw with Ashwell Vets, and the return of the U18s to league action saw them inflict a 5-0 defeat upon Stevenage Boro Juniors.
