Town stay in contention.

23rd Oct 2007

A 1-0 win on Saturday at Hertford Heath saw Buntingford move into second place in the Herts County League Premier Division, now just 1 point behind Metropolitan Police Bushey.

The Reserves followed up their 2-0 South Midlands Floodlit Cup win over Royston Town with a 2-2 draw against a determined Hatfield Town Reserves, last season's top scorer Phil Fisher bagging both goals for the home side.

It was joy for the Vets too as they put 5 goals past Enfield Vets on Sunday to secure their first victory of the season with a 5-1 win; highlights included a superbly chipped own-goal courtesy of Robin Clark and Mark Ward's first-ever headed goal, something we, and he, thought we'd never see!
