In a week which saw the Under 18s start their season with a victory, Town's First Team returned to the top of the Herts Senior County League Premier Division following a 2-1 win over reigning champions Whitewebbs.
An outstanding goalscoring record has pushed Met Police, who are level on points, into second place.
However, Town have played 1 more game than their closest rivals, so things could get lively during the weeks to come; before then though the team now has a string of cup games to contend with.
Despite dominating long periods of the game the Reserves only managed a 1-1 draw with Bedmond Sports & Social this afternoon - it was just one of those games where chances went begging and the ball failed to do the right thing.
Nevertheless, the team is looking good and it is only a matter of time before some unfortunate side will be punished severely.
