Sweet and Sour.

The First Team moved within touching distance of the Premiership title on Saturday with a 3-0 win over Sandridge Rovers.

Just 1 point from Town's remaining match next Saturday at home to London Lions will secure the title, but even if the points are dropped, Whitewebbs need to win their remaining 2 matches and overhaul Town's massive goal difference in order to lift the trophy themselves.

The Reserves, though, were beaten in the final of the Reserve Cup in extraordinary circumstances.

With the scores level at 3-3 after 90 minutes, and 4-4 after the first period of extra time, Town retook the lead with 5 minutes remaining of the match.

The referee then inexplicably played over 5 minutes of added time, even though there had been no injuries or substitutions during the final period, and Evergreen scored with virtually the last kick of the game on 20 minutes.

Town then went on to lose during the nail-biting penalty shootout - but the fiasco during the second period of extra time overshadowed what had been a terrific match.
