Good Luck Jorden!

19th Oct 2006
All his friends at Buntingford Town FC would like to congratulate goalkeeper Jorden Gibson who has now signed a 1 year contract with Luton Town.
Jorden was spotted playing for his Rep Team by Roger Spicer, Luton Town’s youth goalkeeping coach and scout, towards the end of last season.
Having attended trials during March this year he was invited back this season after Luton released several trialists and impressed enough to be given a game against Peterbrough U16s.
They drew that match 1-1 and he was also asked to play against St Albans U18s, a game which they won 1-0.
He was then given a further 6 week trial as the U16s keeper.
He played against QPR keeping a clean sheet in the 0-0 draw, and then against Wycombe Wanderers winning 2-1.
Luton Town were so impressed with his performance that they signed him on 11th October with 5 weeks of his trial still remaining!
Jorden is now Luton Town’s 1st choice youth goalkeeper and will play against Cambridge this Saturday before facing Premiership opposition Reading next Tuesday and Chelsea next Saturday.
Sadly Jorden has had to give up playing for his County and Buntingford Town’s Youth and Reserve teams to concentrate on his career with Luton Town FC – the club would like to wish him every success in the future.
