Silverware at last!

6th May 2006

The memory of two successive cup final defeats were wiped away this afternoon as Town beat Buckhurst Hill 5-1 in the final of the Herts Floodlit Cup.

Buntingford went 1-0 up in the first half following a spectacular Robbie Wilmott lob over the Buckhurst 'keeper 5 minutes before half time.

The home side then double their lead minutes into the second half.

Buckhurst scored soon after, but as the game wore on the pace and enthusiasm of Town's young side saw them run out comfortable winners.
