Not the best of weekends.

27th Mar 2006

The First Team's run of 9 consecutive games without defeat came to an abrupt end on Saturday as they lost 2-1 to a determined Chipperfield Corrinthians who are fighting for survival in the Premier Division.

To make matters worse, Hatfield Town, who are level on points with Buntingford, also lost - a chance of going clear into second place has been wasted.

An improved performance will surely be required at The Bury in the Aubrey Cup semi-final this coming weekend.

To compound the misery, the 'B' Team were eliminated from the District League's Reserve Cup, going down 5-3 at Much Hadham, and the U18s also lost by the only goal of the match to Bury Town.
