Town welcomed early high-flyers Hertford Heath to The Bury and started well with a goal on 20mins from Max Mitchell, when Charlie Owen passed to an advancing Jamie Prouten who sent Max through who finished well.
There followed a very feisty first 15mins but chances came and went from James Collins and Scott Langley who shot just over.
Hertford Heath then surprised Town with an equaliser on 20mins.
James's Collins had the ball in the back of the net on 30mins only for it to be ruled out with a late offside decision.
On 39mins Max Mitchell was brought down inside of Heath’s box and Charlie Owen tucked the penalty away well - 2 1.
Scott Langley had a great chance on 43mins but headed just over.
Town started the second half well with a through ball on 51mins from Dan Apostolos releasing Max Mitchell who finished with class putting Town 3-1 up.
James's Welch came on in midfield for Scott Langley then almost immediately scored but saw his shot saved by their keeper; James Collins then had a shot saved on 61mins.
The game then turned a little messy with Town losing momentum and letting Heath in to score.
The visitors then gained the momentum and created a chance which led to a penalty which they converted on 70 mins, the scores now level at 3-3; Heath then scored again on 75mins.
Town then pushed forward creating chances, Dan Apostolos getting brought down in the box on 85mins, an event which was which was clearly seen by everybody watching except the man that mattered, and the referee decided it was outside of the area; the resulting free kick ended disappointingly.
Town then ran out of time with the game ending in a disappointing 4-3 defeat.
