A Cup Thriller

18th Nov 2019

On Saturday Town progressed to the 3rd Round of the Aubrey Cup following victory over Hatfield Town.

Goals from Charlie Owen and Michael Carter ensured that the scores remained level at 2-2 after extra time.

Buntingford won the resulting penalty shoot-out by 7 goals to 6 - see the penalty action here.

We are now scheduled to play Hatfield United in Round 3 of the competition.

Not such good news for the Reserves who were eliminated from the Herts FA Junior Cup by Welwyn St Marys, going down 6-0.

Town's Vets recorded a 3-2 win over Barkway yesterday, turning around a 2-1 deficit during the final few minutes of the match.

Our ladies, leading 2-0 at half time against Whetstone Wanderers, failed to monopolise on their lead during the second period, eventually losing 3-2; a disappointing result but nevertheless an excellent performance from this ever-improving side.
