A disappointing weekend saw Knebworth do the double over Buntingford.
The First Team were eliminated from the Aubrey Cup during a scrappy encounter, and although the scores were level at 2-2 at one point, Buntingford eventually lost 5-2.
To rub salt into the wounds, former Buntingford striker Louis Gilbert came on as a substitute and scored a brace for the opposition.
Town's Reserves trailed 2-0 at half time in the league against Knebworth Reserves.
Despite bossing the second half, Buntingford found the net just once thanks to a goal from Danny Standing on his debut.
Town certainly deserved at least a point from the match which ended 2-1.
