An Important Victory

2nd Dec 2014

The First Team maintained its second position in the league with a 2-1 victory over Knebworth on Saturday.

A brace from Chris Babbage has taken his total to 15 goals for the season and he is currently now fourth in the HSCL's goalscorers' table.

This Saturday the team will try to further cement its strong position during their match at AFC Hatfield.

The Reserves lost 3-1 to Hertford Town U21s, but still sit in third place in the league; having not played for a number of weeks lack of match-fitness contributed to the defeat.

This week the side was scheduled to play in the Cecil Hudson Cup, but the unfortunate withdrawal from the league of Standon & Puckeridge Reserves means that Buntingford will be awarded a bye into the next round.
