With the Reserves out of action during the weekend, the club looked to the First Team and the Vets to deliver the goods and move up their respective league tables.
The First Team's home match against Hinton started well with Buntingford well on top, but the opposition scored midway through the half despite being under the cosh.
A Luke Smith strike ensured a 1-1 scoreline at half time.
The second half was an end to end affair; Hinton scored their second just 15 minutes from time, and followed this with a third, killing the game off with minutes to go.
Had Town's chances all been taken the game would probably have gone our way.
Buntingford slipped to 5th in the league, but are still 1 point away from 3rd and 3 points from second, so there is still ample opportunity to move up the table in the coming matches.
The Veterans played in their league against Standon & Puckeridge and lost by the odd goal in 3, with Chris Carter on target for Buntingford.
