Legends do us proud.
28th Mar 2012
On Sunday we witnessed a great turnout from the people of Buntingford who came along to watch the club's Veterans spar with the Spurs Legends in support of the Herts Air Ambulance.

In a gripping contest the Legends showed off their superior footballing skills but much credit must go to the Buntingford old boys who fought the opposition all the way.
The final score was 5-3 to the Spurs, Buntingford's goals coming from Chris Carter and a memorable brace from Lee Ridings.
Mayor Stan Bull presented the challenge cup to Tony Galvin, man of the match for the Legends was Justin Edinburgh and for Town, not surprisingly, Lee Ridings.
Barclays Bank generously donated £1500 to the cause, and combined with takings on the gate a total of over £3,200 was raised; the final amount raised on the day is likely to nudge towards £4,000, a fantastic effort in support of a very worthy cause.
We would like to thank everyone who came along to support us and, of course, the Spurs Legends who were a fantastic advert for football on the day.
