Hat-trick for Carter.

1st Nov 2010
Club stalwart Chris Carter bagged a hat-trick for the Vets at Norfolk Road on Sunday as the club's Veterans beat Wilbury Vets 8-4.
Carter's 3 goals gives him a season's total of 7 moving him up to 5th place in the goalscorer's table; another good performance from the Vets as they prepare for their Herts FA Veteran's Cup match against Met Police Bushey which will take place in a couple of weeks.
In the Herts Senior County League the First Team brushed aside St Peters by 5 goals to 1, despite being reduced to 10 men following the dismaissal of Les Chappell.
The team moved above St Peters in the league table into 4th position following a performance which manager Barry Tokely described as the side's best of the season.
There was no game for the Reserves over the weekend but we are sure they will be raring to go for their Herts FA Junior Cup tie on Saturday at Sun Postal Rovers, an unusually early 1:30pm kick-off.
