A good team performance.

16th Aug 2010

On Saturday afternoon Town's First Team emerged in confident mood following a 5-0 victory over Baldock Cannon on the all-weather pitch at the Norton Road facility.

Not that this was a usual five-niller; Baldock probably retained the ball for the majority of the 90 minutes, but the Buntingford midfield and defence worked tirelessly throughout the match, soaking up the pressure and earning a welcome pre-season clean sheet.

Max Camp, returning from holiday looked sharp and scored twice, and his strike partner Chris Babbage scored another.

New signing Michael Holland also fired in twice, and Town's pace upfront was evident for all to see.

Overall this was an excellent team performance and the whole side worked extremely hard throughout the match; roll on the new season!
