It was goals all the way for Town's teams during what turned out to be the first full weekend of the year.
Manager Steve Foster saw his First Team squad in action for the first time as the side entertained Sandridge Rovers at The Bury.
An early goal by Jamie Campany saw the team start well, but as the game went on Sandridge appeared to get stronger as Town weakend.
With the home side 3-2 down with just minutes remaining, a John Vooght penalty saw the tie levelled.
The Reserves, who were at one point 3-0 up thanks to a brace from Lewis Gilbert and a solo effort from Tyrone Parry, finally beat Knebworth 3-2, and the lads now look forward to a home tie with Sarratt on Saturday.
The Vets played some of their best football this season during the first half at Walkern, and 5-0 to the good at half time looked ready to cruise to victory; a spirited fight-back by Walkern caused a few nerves to jangle, but Town deservedly ran out as 6-3 winners making the post-match sandwiches at The Robin Hood all the more enjoyable!
