Reserves Secure First Win.
3rd Nov 2008
Two goals from Louis Gilbert saw Town's Reserves beat their Hinton counterparts 2-1 on Saturday, and in doing so secured their first win of the season.
Full credit must be given to the team who have gone through some really tough times recently, but now thanks to a determined effort by all concerned the first points are now deservedly on the board.
Unfortunately, on the same day, the First Team were unable to progress in the Herts Centenary Cup going down 6-2 at Wormley, a result which does not reflect the ture potential of the team, and a performance which Town will be looking to improving upon when they play Bovingdon at The Bury on Saturday.
The Vets played out a thrilling end-to-end 4-4 draw at Tolmers on Sunday and have now have a 4-game unbeaten run!
