Vets return from International Duty.

16th Sep 2008
The club's Veterans returned from international duty this week, having yet again visited twin-town Olvega in order to pick up a few tips on how to play the game continental style.
The match on Saturday against an Olvega veterans side (well, they had a couple of vets playing) resulted in a 7-3 defeat.
At half-time Town were only 3-2 down, but the home side upped the ante during the second period of play to finish the match with a swagger.
The Sunday game was cancelled so an impromptu 6-a-side fixture was arranged; unfortunately Town lost 6-4, but chairman Chris Thurgill was not too disappointed as his stand-in 'keeper appearance for Olvega gave him his first victory on foreign soil.
Yet again the people of Olvega were very welcoming and we would like to thank them for their hospitality.
