Kevin Corrigan completed the London Marathon in 4 hours 21 minutes and has raised a substantial sum of money for charity. Congratulations Kev!
Here is Kevin's account of the day:
"I managed to complete the Marathon in 4 hours 21 minutes.
This was 10 minutes per mile, which was my target, and I only stopped once (at six miles for a call of nature).
It was not easy - absolutely knackered at the end but the crowd are fantastic and really spur you on.
They are out cheering (and boozing) for the whole 26 miles.
I passed Frank Bruno at 23 miles but did not manage to catch up to Charlie Dimmock - she was a couple of miles in front of me (there's a joke in there somewhere).
I am on target to raise about £2,500 for charity - £1,500 for HEAL (a prostate charity cancer) and £1,000 for CRISIS (a charity for London's homeless).
Over £600 was raised by customers and friends from the Crown pub - thanks to Big Colin for helping with this.
If anyone wants to add to this total we are still collecting in the pub until the middle of May.
Despite the blisters and aching limbs it was a great day out."
