Del's Boys come up trumps.
4th Dec 2005
Del Brand's 'A' side did the double over table-toppers Westmill Reserves this afternoon, scoring 2 goals to no reply at Luynes Rise. Town are the only team to have beaten the 'Mill this season, not once, but twice - surely this will give the lads the confidence they need in order to beat lesser sides.
This afternoon's other matches did not go Town's way, with the First Team going down 3-2 against Bedmond Sports & Social in the Herts Centenary Senior Trophy despite a Duncan Easley brace.
The Reserves drew 2-2 with Metropolitan Police Bushey in the league, but were it not for poor finishing from the home side and an inspired goalkeeping performance from the opposition, Town should surely have won the game.
Andy Voy's 'B' side went down 4-0 to league leaders Baldock Cannon to round-off a day of mixed fortunes.
Perhaps though, the best result of the day went to the Cougars' girls who picked up their Fair Play award medals at Watford FC this afternoon - an occassion to remember with pride - well done girls.
