Town Sign Sainsbury's Lease
1st Dec 2003
Following many months of negotiation, Buntingford Town FC and The Buntingford Cougars have jointly agreed a 3-year lease for use of the sports facility at the Sainsburys Depot. Both clubs will be responsible for the maintenance and management of the sports field, clubhouse and changing rooms on the site.
The facility, which Town currently use for weekly training, has room for 2 full sized pitches and will help to ease the pressure on the other pitches in the town which often suffer due to overuse.
This move will form a base from which both clubs can develop and grow in the future and we're sure you’ll agree that this is an exciting move which yet again shows our commitment to sport within the town.
The agreement has only been made possible thanks to huge efforts from a small working party made up by members from both clubs.
It is further proof that co-operation between organisations can produce results which benefit everybody.
Buntingford is only a small town, but we have now shown that by working together we can produce great results.
